when in mexico we-

January 13, 2010

walk the beach.

buy mexican blankets.

build new bookshelves,
entertainment center, coffee table. (justin)

since justin has all the skills,
and we love rustic, which is uncommon here,
it’s very cheap to buy lumber,
much more expensive to buy custom made.
he’s making everything.

all the while,
studying spanish determinedly.
he started classes this morning.

we also painted that dresser bright blue together.

all of this is possible because the lonsdales graciously offered
to let us take this first week to settle in and not start at coffee shop,
or other duties yet.

the mosquitos like me a lot.
i’ve been trying to always take my vitamin B supplement,
as i’ve heard that deters them.
if you have any other ideas,
i’m all itchy ears.
they don’t like justin at all.
they never have.
is he sour?
does his blood taste like spaghettios?

we went and got prepaid cell phones today,
what an ordeal that was.
stood in line for two hours,
just for the privilege.

tomorrow
promises to be
another wonderful day.

God is so good.

Garlic–that’s another thing that keeps mosquitoes away. So eat a lot of it and you can also take “garlic pills”. Justin may not appreciate you constantly smelling like garlic is coming out of your pores, but neither do mosquitoes!! :)
